Over 60,000 5-star reviews
It can feel impossible to find affordable therapy for your anxiety or depression — if you can even find a therapist in your area who’s taking new patients in the first place.
Online therapy services make mental health care accessible on a more flexible schedule, but they’re not always affordable. At Youper, we want to change that. Our patients get one-on-one access to experts trained on anxiety and depression, tools to help them monitor their symptoms and track their progress, and 24/7 support from our therapy chat — all for way less than the cost of traditional treatment.
Affordable therapy is possible with Youper.

What our patients are saying

I started with Youper during the quarantine: it’s so convenient to be able to do therapy without leaving my home, and I love not having to spend a bunch of money on getting better.

I love my weekly video sessions, but being able to chat anytime and get instant help is what sets Youper apart from other therapy services I’ve tried in the past. It’s been life-changing.

Youper uses cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, but by asking questions and learning what works for you, it makes you feel at ease and supported. It cannot replace a real therapist, but it is undoubtedly an excellent place to start.

It’s not like talking to a real person, but it’s dang close. I’ve been in therapy before, and it sometimes feels very judgmental, but Youper gets rid of all that and saves the helpful knowledge and support. I love this app.

I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety my whole life, and even more so since the pandemic. A friend recommended Youper, and I decided to give it a shot. Within two hours, I felt completely grounded and much more clear-minded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I choose Youper?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been proven time and again as the most effective therapy for anxiety and depression, but it hasn’t been available to many people.
Youper makes CBT skills accessible by combining caring providers who really listen to you with 24/7 chat to support you anytime you need it.
Who are you?
We are clinicians, engineers, designers, and caregivers led by world-renowned therapist Andrea Niles, Ph.D., and psychiatrist Jose Hamilton, MD. Above all, we care deeply about your health and happiness. We have dedicated our lives to making mental health care accessible for everyone, one person at a time.
Why Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?
CBT is the most effective therapy for anxiety and depression. It helps you understand patterns in your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that may be contributing to your anxiety and depression. Once you find those patterns, CBT helps change your thinking, take control of your emotions, and change your behavior — to feel better and reclaim your life.
How long does it take to feel better?
People often see improvements as fast as two weeks after beginning our program. Youper extends the power of CBT to your daily life, so the more you engage with the process and practice the skills, the faster you'll see improvements.
Most importantly, each person has their own timing and we respect that. You'll set goals with your provider, check in regularly, and monitor your symptoms to see how you're progressing.
Can I cancel?
Yes, and we hope you do! When you’re feeling better, you can opt to move to our Support or On-demand plans, or cancel your subscription at any time. You can also re-subscribe at a later date if you need it. We’ll be here for you.
What about medication?
If you’re considering medication, you can subscribe to the Medication Plan, and schedule an appointment with a clinician for assessment, diagnosis, and prescription if needed. The Medication Plan is currently available in California and Texas, and we’re actively working through each State’s unique process to make it available in other states as well.
How much does this cost?
You can get started for $36 per month.
Do you take insurance?
Youper is designed to be affordable with or without insurance. Most likely, your subscription will cost less than your insurance co-payments and without the hassle that insurance often brings.
